Maldia Car Rental LLC

📅 Effective 2025

1 General Guidelines & Responsibilities

  1. The hirer confirms that the selected vehicle has been received in good, roadworthy condition, along with all accessories. The vehicle must be returned to Maldia Car Rental LLC in the same condition at the end of the rental period.
  2. Maldia Car Rental LLC reserves the full right to request the return of the vehicle at any time if the hirer is found to be in breach of these terms.
  3. Maldia Car Rental LLC is not liable for any personal belongings left inside the vehicle.
  4. The company may update or amend its Terms & Conditions without prior notice.
  5. Vehicles rented from Maldia Car Rental LLC may only be used within the United Arab Emirates.

2 Geographical Limits

⚠️ Important Notice

All rented vehicles must strictly remain within the geographic boundaries of the UAE. Cross-border travel is not permitted under any circumstances.

3 Mileage Allowance

Daily Rentals

Option 1

250 KM/day
Excess: AED 12 per KM

Option 2

100 KM/day
Excess: AED 0.75 per KM

Weekly Rentals

Option 1

250 KM/day
Excess: AED 12 per KM

Option 2

100 KM/day
Excess: AED 0.75 per KM

Monthly Rentals

Option 1

4,500 KM/month
Excess: AED 12 per KM

Option 2

2,500 KM/month
Excess: AED 0.75 per KM

4 Fuel Policy

Vehicles must be returned with the same fuel level as provided at the time of rental. If the fuel level is significantly lower, fuel charges will apply.

5 Vehicle Damage & Responsibility

  1. The hirer must ensure the tires are properly inflated at all times.
  2. The hirer must avoid tampering with any parts, systems, or instruments of the vehicle.
  3. The interior must be kept clean and tidy; cleaning fees may apply for excessive dirt.
  4. The hirer is responsible for all damages and repair costs during the rental period.
  5. Unauthorized repairs by third parties are strictly prohibited and will result in penalties.
  6. In case of damage or an accident, the hirer must contact the Police (999) and Maldia Car Rental LLC (+971 50 658 8494).
  7. A valid police report is mandatory; without it, the hirer bears full liability for all damages.

6 Rental Period & Return Policy

  1. Rentals are calculated on a 24-hour basis.
  2. A 1-hour grace period is allowed. Any delay beyond 1 hour will be charged as an additional full day.
  3. Latest check-in time is 6:00 PM. No returns on Sundays or UAE public holidays.
  4. For Dubai pick-ups, Maldia must be notified at least 4 hours before the return time.
  5. For other Emirates, notification must be given 24 hours in advance.

7 Payments, Deposits & Other Charges

Security Deposit

  1. A refundable security deposit must be provided before the vehicle is released.
  2. Deposit amounts vary according to vehicle category.
  3. Deposits are held for 30 calendar days to account for fines and Salik.

Salik (Toll) Charges

  1. Each crossing is charged AED 5.25 (including VAT & service fee).
  2. Salik rates may change without prior notice.
  3. A 5% VAT is applied to the service fee.

Traffic Fines

  1. All fines during the rental are the hirer's responsibility.
  2. An AED 20 acknowledgment fee + 10% service charge applies.
  3. Fines under AED 200 incur a minimum service charge of AED 20.
  4. VAT of 5% is charged on service fees.

8 Service & Maintenance

  1. Rental fees include periodic servicing. First service is at 1,000 KM, then every 10,000 KM.
  2. The hirer must inform Maldia Car Rental LLC 2 days before the service is due.
  3. If a breakdown occurs, a replacement vehicle will be provided as soon as available.
  4. Failure to service at the scheduled intervals will result in the hirer being liable for damages.
  5. Unauthorized repairs are not allowed.
  6. The hirer is fully responsible for tire punctures and related repairs.
  7. Running the vehicle on a flat tire will result in full repair liability.
  8. The hirer must report any mechanical issues immediately; delays may increase liability.

9 Additional Driver

Each additional driver will be charged AED 100 and must be registered in the contract.

10 Insurance

  1. Insurance is valid only for paved UAE roads.
  2. If the vehicle is deemed a total loss:
    • 20% of insured value (if the car is under 12 months old)
    • 15% of insured value (if over 12 months old)
  3. A police report is mandatory for any claim.
  4. Insurance does not cover:
    • Windshields
    • Tires
    • Wheels
    • Tools
    • Wheel caps

11 Legal & Age Requirements

  1. Minimum age to rent is 25 years.
  2. Hirers aged 22–25 receive only 70% insurance coverage.
  3. If the vehicle is impounded, the hirer must pay the impound fee + rental loss days.
  4. The vehicle must always be parked safely.
  5. Lost key charges start from AED 1,500 (varies by car category).
  6. Parking fines + admin fees apply.

13 Online Booking Terms & Conditions

Booking Process

  1. Customer selects vehicle and rental dates online.
  2. Maldia Car Rental LLC provides available options based on the request.
  3. Customer confirms selection through "Book Now".
  4. Customer enters details and proceeds with payment.
  5. A confirmation email is sent with full reservation details.

Booking Rules

  1. Same-day bookings allowed up to 3 hours prior.
  2. Minimum rental period: 1 day.
  3. Maximum rental period: 24 months.

Rates Include

VAT, mandatory fees, included mileage, and third-party liability. Comprehensive insurance is optional based on customer selection.

14 Payment Methods

  • Visa & MasterCard (Credit/Debit)
  • Maestro
  • Visa Electron

Payments must be completed at checkout unless the customer chooses "Pay at Station."

15Security Deposit Policy

Varies by vehicle type. Details shared before booking. Refunded within 30 days.

16Reservation Guarantee

Guaranteed window if requirements met. Without card details: held 1 hour. Uncollected after hours: No-Show.

17Other General Terms

Foreign licenses must convert after residency. Alcohol/drugs: full liability. No tinting/stickers (AED 500 penalty). No cash refunds.

18Payment & Refunds

Payments in AED. No services to OFAC-sanctioned countries. Refunds via original payment method only.

19Governing Law

Governed by UAE law. All disputes under UAE jurisdiction.
